  9.  AB    We report a human immunodeficiency virus antibody-negative, profoundly
  10.        uremic patient who presented with a CD4+ T lymphocyte count of 133/mm3,
  11.        a CD8+ T lymphocyte count of 77/mm3, and a CD3+ T lymphocyte count of
  12.        259/mm3. These values decrease significantly below reported levels in
  13.        other lymphopenic uremic patients. High-efficiency chronic hemodialysis
  14.        resulted in correction of these cytopenias to a normal range within 12
  15.        weeks.
